To determine if you have to update the audio driver or not, please refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.

How to install this driver after downloading and extracting the package from the Web
1. Power on the system.
2. Insert the Windows 95 or Windows 98 CD in a CD-ROM drive (at the certain installation points some Windows 95 or Windows 98 CD files that support the devices on the sound card have to be copied).
3. Wait for Windows 95 or Windows 98 boot up.
4. Windows 95 or Windows 98 automatically detects the PCI Multimedia Audio Device and brings up the New Hardware Found message box and the Insert Disk dialog box.
5. In the Insert Disk dialog box, type c:\drivers\w9x\audio and click the OK button.
6. In the New Hardware Found dialog box, type c:\drivers\w9x\audio in the text box. Click the OK button. The files will be copied for the ESS Solo-1 PCI AudioDrive device and then, the ESS Solo-1 DOS Emulation message box appears.
7. In the Update device Driver Wizard dialog box for the Gameport Joystick device, click the Next button.
8. In the next Update device Driver Wizard dialog box for the Gameport Joystick device, click the Finish button.
9. Installation is complete.

How to update the driver
1. Start Windows 95 or Windows 98.
2. Extract the Audio Features Diskette for Windows 95/98 onto the hard drive.
3. Click on Start -> Run...
4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\AUDIO\SETUP and click on OK.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
