Servers - Netfinity servers cannot create the file A:\raidevt.log

Symptom
Receive error message "Cannot create the File A:\raidevt.log", when trying to save the RAID event log.

Problem Isolation Aids:
- The system is one of the following Netfinity servers:
Netfinity 3000 server, Machine Type 8476
Netfinity 3500 server, Machine Type 8644
Netfinity 5500 server, Machine Type 8660

- The system has IBM SurePath BIOS.

- The system's SurePath BIOS level is one of the following:
Netfinity 3000 BIOS level 1.42 or earlier
Netfinity 3500 BIOS level 1.32 or earlier
Netfinity 5500 BIOS level 1.02 or earlier

- The system is properly configured with an IDE CD-ROM Drive.

- The system has an IBM ServeRAID III Ultra SCSI Adapter, FRU 01K7396 P/N 01K7207.

- The system was booted from the ServeRAID III Configuration CD Version 3.0.

- The symptom occurs after you select the Backup RAID Log to Diskette option.

Fix
BIOS update when Available.

Additional Information
The problem will be fixed in a future BIOS release.

Target Date for release of this BIOS: December, 1998.
