CrossBrand - Windows 95 and NetFinity page fault during re-logon
Applicable to: World-Wide
QUESTION:
Can a user successfully re-logon to a WIN95 Client that is running NetFinity 4.0 without trapping WIN95 with a NetFinity monitor module?
ANSWER:
When a user logs off without rebooting, the MON*.DLLs get left in memory. When NetFinity tries to restart, the pointers to all the MON*.DLLs are corrupted, causing a trap.
Users must either reboot to re-logon or do a controlled "netfbase shutdown" before logging off. NetFinity auto-starts during the logon, since it is in the Startup folder.
