IBM 3153 ASCII Terminal Display - Backspace key not working

Symptom:
3153 Backspace Key is not working.
Background Information:
The 3153 Backspace can be configured in 3153 setup menu to act as follows:
Unshifted/Shifted
<BS> <BS> (3153 factory default setting)
<BS> <DEL>
<DEL> <BS>
<DEL> <CAN>
The 3153 Backspace key can be modified/redefined in the 3153 (F12 Prog) setup menu.
Recommended Solution:
If the Backspace Key is not working, using the 3153 setup menus, change the 3153 'Backspace' setup parameter until it works as desired.
Also check to determine if the 3153 Backspace key has been redefined in the 3153 setup menus.
