Aptiva - 2140/2142 PC Doctor and modem testing
Applicable to: World-Wide
PC-Doctor, a diagnostic program shipped with 2140/2142 systems, performs only an internal check of the modem attached to the system. It does not perform a functional check of the modem.
If a modem is experiencing problems with connect rate or with making connections, PC-Doctor is not an appropriate tool. Other methods of testing should be used when attempting to diagnose connect rate or connection problems.
PC Doctor is appropriate for diagnosing system connection and DTE communication problems with the modem.
