Aptiva - Virgin Islands support information
Applicable to: United States
For customers that are in the Virgin Islands and have an issue or problem with their Aptiva systems, the U.S. HelpCenters cannot and should not send parts because the customer will have to pay a duty/tax on receiving them. We can assist in diagnosing a hardware problem with their system. Software support is provided electronically via PRODIGY, America On Line or CompuServe. These applications are preloaded in the Aptiva software.
If the customer is in need of a part, they may go to the local Radio Shack store, which is an authorized drop-off point for the authorized servicer of Tandy. Or, they may also visit the local IBM office, which has agreed to provide assistance. Again, the U.S. HelpCenter CANNOT send parts to the Virgin Islands.
