Options - ECA002 Fit New LANStreamer MC32

PURPOSE:
To replace LANStreamer MC32 FRU P/N59G9047 with FRU P/N 74G0106 to prevent possible data corruption or loss.

Physical Check:
Check FRU P/N of LANStreamer MC32 installed. If P/N59G9047 replace with P/N74G0106

Detail:
Due to a potential data contamination or loss problem the LANStreamer MC32 is being replaced. The option P/N is 33G9030 LANStreamer MC32 Retain TDR H053276 released some months ago gives more details of the problems encountered and this new card is the final solution to the MC32 problems described in that tip.

** The original plan to supply new cards using the UPOS system appears to be causing problems. If this is happening to your customer and cards need to be obtained then they can be ordered via the normal spare parts ordering system and replaced under the normal warranty procedures. The new FRU P/N74G0106 is known on the SPARE PART SYSTEMS.
Information on how to obtain new level FRUs is being distributed within country by Options Brand Management. This process will use the UPOS ordering system. This is to to ensure country priorities.If you experience supply problems you should in the first instance contact your country Options Brand Manager.Return all removed cards to Greenock immediately through the normal country process.
Use shipping code 866 947. Order no 866xxx where xxx is the returning country code. Parts must be marked for the attention of W McCorrisken D468.The new FRU P/N74G0106 will contain documentation and a new driver diskette.
