TP General - How to disable/enable Auto Insertion Detection

Applicable to: World-Wide

How to enable/disable the CD-ROM Auto Insert notification under Windows 95/98.

NOTE: This tip does not apply to TP 365C, 365CS, or 365E models.

1. Start Windows 95.
2. Double click on My Computer.
3. Double click on Control Panel.
4. Double click on the System icon.
5. Click on the Device Manager tab at the top of the screen.
6. Click on the + (plus) to the left of CD-ROM Drives.
7. Double click on the CD-ROM device.
8. Click on the Settings tab.
9. To enable auto insert place a X mark next to Auto Insert Notification, to disable take the X mark out by clicking on it.
10. Click on the OK button and then click on the OK button at the Device Manager.
11. Click on the Yes button at the Restart Now... prompt.
