TP General - Windows 95 IR does not function while ThinkPad in SelectaDock I

SYMPTOM:
IBM IR driver does not function if ThinkPad(s) are attached to the Select A Dock 1 Unit.

CONFIGURATION:
ALL ThinkPads with Infrared running Windows 95

SOLUTION:
Download Microsoft IR driver ver. 2.0 (32 bit) from their Web Site. The file name is W95IR.exe or IR Communications Driver 2.0 RELNOTES 1 & 2 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

The file may be quickly located by going to the following URL and searching on W95IR.EXE:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/

Install the downloaded driver on the Thinkpad (not attached to the docking station) from a DOS prompt or from "My Computer" A: drive by running the executable file for the driver. Please follow all instructions given for installation.
