PC Server 320 - Hangs with Adaptec SCSI card

Applicable to: World-Wide

Symptom:
After a period of heavy usage, system hangs are experienced when a Server 320 is connected to a LAN. Other symptoms include, lost video, requester disconnects, or SCSI harddisk light stays on.

Problem Isolation Aids:
1. Multiple network adapter cards are installed along with an Adaptec EISA SCSI card.
2. OS/2 2.11 SMP is installed along with Lanserver 4.0.

Fix:
1. Change the Adaptec BCLK setting in the EISA configuration to "2".
2. If problems are still encountered after changing the setting, the Adaptec card can be removed or the customer can be referred to Adaptec Technical Support at 1-800-959-7274.
3. No other FRU parts should be swapped in attempt to fix this problem.
