Aptiva - 2142-S6H No sound when playing DVD movie

Situation:
User gets good sound throughout on his system, a 2142-S6H, but no sound at all when playing a DVD movie. Otherwise, movie video is okay. User was taken through normal DVD troubleshooting procedures.
Solution:
There is a single cable from the DVD card to the system board, that when loose or damaged, creates this exact problem. Reseat or replace that cable. The cable plugs into the top edge of the DVD card in the plug labeled "audio output" and into the system board at the plug labelled "J3 DVD".
