Aptiva - 2144/2168 (SL-H) Considerations: File errors in Launch Pad
Applicable to: World-Wide
Situation:
Customer is getting "file not found", "file corrupted", or "canĘt open file".
Reason:
The file responsible for file protection for Launch Pad in the preload version of KIDSTSR.COM causes certain copy operations to fail erroneously.
Response to customer:
If the customer is experiencing these problems, have him or her download KIDSTSR.COM from the PC Company BBS at (919) 517-0001. The file is located in the Corrective Service Software section. The file can also be found at the following WWW site: http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/support. Have the customer replace his or her existing KIDSTSR.COM with the one from the BBS.
