TP 310ED,315ED - How to adjust the volume control

SYMPTOM: If you experience low level (volume) after purchasing your ThinkPad 310ED please consider the following procedures.
CONFIGURATION: The Master Volume and Volume for Wav, MIDI, CD, etc. all are set to 50% by default.
RESOLUTION: There are two ways to increase the volume:
1. To open the Microsoft Volume Control (1) Click on the Start Button, (2) Programs, (3) Accessories (4) Multimedia (5) Open the Volume Control option, than adjust the slide to the desired volume control level.
2. Start Yamaha station by clicking on the (1) Start Button, (2) Programs, (3) Yamaha, and then (YSTATION 32).
Once you start the Yamaha Station, drag the Master volume to the desired volume level.
NOTE: To increase the volume for WAV,MIDI, CD, etc. adjust the Master slide, in Yamaha Station, and select the device you want to control to the desired volume level.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Depress the Fn-F5 key combination, to select the Volume Control Icon. Once the Volume Control Icon is viewable in the upper left hand corner, this will automatically adjust the volume for the Yamaha Station. To increase the volume, depress the Fn & right arrow key combination, to decrease the volume, depress the Fn & left arrow key. To de-select the Volume Control Icon, depress the Fn-Esc key combination, this will remove the icon, until the Fn-F5 key combination is selected again.
