Aptiva - 2176 Using Copy Con Com1

The 2176-Y01 & -Y31 always return a write fault error if you use copy con in any DOS environment. If you use Hyperterminal, the normal AT commands work fine.
The 2176-Y33 will let you send copy con in any DOS window.
The reason for the error relates to the fact that the 2176 systems come with no "real" dos drivers. The mwd directory normally located on the older Aptiva machines no longer exists as the drivers have been upgraded.
Also check for Communication Centre and other programs or drivers running in the background by pressing "Ctrl"+ "Alt"+"Del" to bring up the Close program box and use End Task to remove any other TSRs relating to the Mwave.
