TP 770/E/ED - Cannot distinguish Type A or B LCD or Inverter card

SYMPTOM:
The 770/E/ED April 1998 HMM lists a 13.3 inch A and B type LCD and LCD inverter card that must be matched A to A and B to B.
RESOLUTION:
The vender number or FRU numbers can be used to determine the A or B model level. The FRU numbers are listed with the model numbers in the HMM, but complete disassembly is required. The vender number can be seen by just removing the LCD bezel. The Vender part number is silk screened (white paint) on the inverter card.
