28.8/14.4 PCMCIA Data/Fax Modem w/Integrated DAA - Unable to use TAPI to dial with cellular phones

Symptom:
Running Windows 95, applications not able to dial out using cellular phone.

Resolution:

1. At the Windows 95 Start button choose Run and type REGEDIT.
2. Select Edit and Find and in the text field type &K4 and select OK.
3. On the right hand side of the screen above the &K4 that was found select the key that says "Dial Suffix".
4. Right clicking on "Dial Suffix" will give an option box with three options, select Modify and OK.
5. Select the text field and delete the ; and then select OK.
6. The "Dial Suffix" should now look like "".
7. Close the REGISTRY and use the modem.
