Aptiva - How to install / uninstall the Sony CD Sampler
Applicable to: United States
To install CD Extra onto your Aptiva:
1. From Windows 95 Start Menu, click on the Aptiva Installer icon.
2. Insert the CD Extra CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to go on and then off.
3. Click on the "find install program" button if application was not installed previously or if installed previously, select "show uninstalled programs" tab.
4. Highlight the Sony Music CD icon and then click on install.
5. A Sony Music Entertainment screen will appear. Click on install sampler.
6. Click OK to use 1MB of free space.
7. Click install to install Quick Time.
8. Click start to check existing versions of Quicktime.
9. Click install to complete install.
10. Click OK to the successfully installed message.
To uninstall the Sony CD Sampler from your Aptiva:
1. From Windows 95 Start Menu, click on the Aptiva Installer icon.
2. Insert the CD Extra CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to go on and then off.
3. Click on the show installed programs tab.
4. Single click on the CD Sampler icon to highlight it and then click on uninstall.
5. Click uninstall from the Sony CD Extra menu.
6. Click OK to De-Install.
NOTE: The Sony CD Sampler needs to be run in 256 color mode. Higher color depths are not supported.
