TP General - How to remove a device from Device Manager

Applicable to: World-Wide

If you are trying to remove a device listed in Device Manager just follow these simple steps:

1. Double-click on My Computer.
2. Double-click on Control Panel.
3. Double-click on System.
4. Select the Device Manager tab at the top.
5. Select the device you wish to remove and click on the Remove button.
8. Click on the OK at the next prompt and then OK at the bottom of Device Manager.
9. Shutdown and reboot.

If the device is still installed on your computer, Windows 95 will redetect the device on boot up and install the necessary drivers for it. You will want to follow the instructions on the screen, or the instructions that came with the device you are trying to install to reinstall the drivers.
