Aptiva - 2161 models with Audio Station 3.03.27 have undocumented controls

Problem:
All of the new 2161 models with Audio Station 3.03.27 have undocumented controls on the Audio Mixer control panel. The two controls to the right of the Master Out, which the bubble help describes as "SRS" and "Serial In," offer no documentation as to what they do. The online help also does not describe what these controls are.
Solution:
SRS = Surround Sound
Serial In = The audio card included on these machines is utilized by other vendors. Some vendors purchase this card with additional hardware that allows them increased MIDI functions. IBM did not purchase this option. Therefore, the cards do not have the additional hardware necessary to utilize or need this control. Unfortunately, it was not cost-effective to remove this control from the software.
