IBM System Storage Division hard disk drive offerings

Deskstar 8 EIDE HDD:
IBM System Storage Division (SSD) offers hard disk drives to system integrators and distributors. In many instances, SSD will have a hard disk drive offering that has not been released as a Personal Systems Group (PC Company) hard disk drive. SSD's targeted applications are aimed at offerings for non-IBM systems and system integrators. Personal Systems Group hard disk drive offerings include extensive compatibility testing on IBM PC Systems, firmware that is optimized for use with IBM PC, NetFinity, ThinkPad, and IntelliStations, comprehensive user's guides to assist with installation, and Personal Systems Group warranty, service, and support. Warranty, service, and support issues for an SSD offering should be contacting System Storage Division, or their point of purchase.
