TP General - How to uninstall/reinstall multimedia support for OS/2

This document contains information on how to uninstall/install Multimedia Support in OS/2.

Uninstall (Version 3.0):
1. Start OS/2.
2. Double click the OS/2 System icon.
3. Double click the System Setup icon.
4. Double click the Selective Uninstall icon.
5. Click the box to the left of Multimedia Software Support to place a check mark.
6. Click the Uninstall button at the bottom left of the screen.
7. Click on the OK at the confirmation screen.
8. Click on the YES at the "Are you sure..." screen.

Uninstal: (Version 4.0):
1. Start OS/2.
2. Double click the OS/2 System icon.
3. Double click the System Setup icon.
4. Select the Install/Remove folder.
4. Double click the Selective Uninstall icon.
5. Click the box to the left of Multimedia Software Support to place a check mark.
6. Click the Uninstall button at the bottom left of the screen.
7. Select Cancel to remove the Uninstall menu.

Install (Version 3.0):
1. Start OS/2.
2. Double click the OS/2 System icon.
3. Double click the System Setup icon.
4. Double click the Selective Install icon.
5. Make sure None is selected in the Multimedia Device Support field.
6. Click on the OK box in the lower left of this screen.
7. Click the box to the left of Multimedia Software Support to place a check mark.
8. Click on the INSTALL button at the bottom of this screen.
9. If this is an OS/2 preload the default source directory should be already selected. If this is not a preload then change the directory to either a:\ or the drive letter for the cdrom drive depending on the source.
10. Click on the INSTALL button.

Install (Version 4.0):
1. Start OS/2.
2. Double click the OS/2 System icon.
3. Double click the System Setup icon.
4. Double click the Install/Remove icon.
5. Select the "Selective Install" icon.
6. Make sure "None" is selected in the Multimedia Device Support field.
7. Select the "Next" button. Select "Next" again.
8. Select "Multimedia Software Support" and then "Next."
9. If this is an OS/2 preload the default source directory should already be selected. If this is not a preload then change the directory to either a:\ or the drive letter for the cdrom drive depending on the source. Insert the OS/2 diskette or CD-ROM into the drive.
10. Click on the INSTALL button.
