Aptiva - 2163/2164 Considerations - System hangs due to lightning strike of 1KV or greater

Description:
With API power supply, system hangs during a lightning strike of 1KV or more.
Models affected:
2163 and 2164
How to duplicate:
System powered on during nearby lightning strike.
Root cause:
Failing stress condition is E4 1.2uS rise time, 50uS duration 2KV line to ground. System passes with no errors at 900V but locks up at 1KV or higher.
Workaround:
Rebooting will recover. H/W EC to the planar will be phased in by 1/99 or earlier.
