Aptiva - 2134/2176 - Using the Diagnostics CD to reinstall applications

Symptom:
The Diags CD supplied with the 2134 and 2176 models has an IBMBUILD directory, which contains all the non-Microsoft files for the preload. Our license agreement with Microsoft precludes us from seperately installing the MS components, therefore if you need to reinstall a Microsoft component, including Windows, recover!
The IBMBUILD directory contains a directory for each preload title. There are no directories for the applications supplied on CD.

Note:
You don't need both the SIS and the ATI video support stuff at the same time.
Each title directory contains further subdirectories; these are directly equivalent to the directories on the root of C: of the preload. To reinstall an application from the Diags CD, simply copy the files from the chosen IBMBUILD\<title> directory into the corresponding directories on the hardfile.

Reinstalling AudioStation
From the above list, the AudioStation files are held in the IBMBUILD\ADIOSTAT directory on the Diags CD. the structure of this directory is

This indicates that we have to put files into the following directories on the hardfile:
C:\VOYETRA
C:\WINDOWS
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
So, quite simply, the application is reinstalled by the following two commands:
COPY G:\IBMBUILD\ADIOSTAT\VOYETRA\*.* C:\VOYETRA
XCOPY G:\IBMBUILD\ADIOSTAT\WINDOWS\*.* C:\WINDOWS /S
(XCOPY ... /S copies all files and subdirectories)
