IBM 3153 ASCII Terminal Display - Not saving time, clock or date settings

Symptom:
The 3153 looses the time and date settings.
Background Information:
The 3153 offers local Desk Accessories (clock, calendar, calculator and ASCII chart.) The 3153 Clock Desk Accessory allows users to set the date, time and alarm.
Based on the 3153 design, when the 3153 is powered off, the 3153 does not save the clock settings since the 3153 microprocessor is not running.
Refer to Chapter 4 'Desk Accessories' of the 3153 Users Guide for more information.
Resolution:
- Do not power off the 3153.
- The host operating system and/or application may offer the capability to have a time/date display on the 3153. Contact the host operating system, application administrator or programmer.
