IBM Monitor MM55 Blank screen

Problem Description:
When the power cord is attached to the MM55 ( type 2116) monitor with the on/off switch in the off position, in adverse test conditions it is possible that fuse F402 could go open circuit. This fault causes a blank screen or dark screen with colour dots.
This is a transient problem which may affect the monitor in the first period of use.
Fix:
As an enchancement to the product reliability, the vendor has issued a rework instruction to their repair vendors to change J135 with a 3A Bussmann fuse or a 4A Bel fuse and replace F402 with a wire link.
