Color Flatbed Scanner - Software Installation

The scanner must be connected to your computer before you can install the software. Before installing the scanner software, make sure that the scanner is properly connected .
Note: The setup program on the Scanner Setup CD must be run from within Microsoft Windows.
The Scanner Setup program on the CD:
Copies the software files to a directory you select
Creates a program group named Action Manager in Windows Program Manager(Windows 3.X only)
For Windows 95 and Windows NT:
1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the IBM Scanner Setup CD into the appropriate drive. (If Autodrive is enabled; steps 3 and 4 will not be necessary)
3. Click on START and select RUN.
4. Type the letter of the drive, a colon and SETUP (such as, D:SETUP), then press ENTER.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions carefully to properly install the scanner software.
6. After the scanner setup software is installed, restart the computer.
7. Install the Xerox Pagis SE and Adobe PhotoDeluxe software applications. Follow the installation instructions provided with each application.
8. When prompted during the software installation, select TWAIN as your scanner driver and IBM Flatbed Scanner-32 as your source.
ADOBE PHOTODELUXE:
Basic installation instructions for Adobe Photodeluxe are located on the face of the Adobe Photodeluxe CD.
Reference the online installation for further assistance with installation and configuration of the software.
XEROX PAGIS:
Basic installation instructions for Xerox Pagis SE are located in the user’s guide and online.
For Windows 3.X:
The scanner must be connected to your computer before you can install the software. Before installing the scanner software, make sure that the scanner is properly connected.
1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the IBM Scanner Setup CD into the appropriate drive.
3. From Program Manager, choose FILE and RUN.
4. Type the letter of the drive, a colon and SETUP (such as, D:SETUP), then press ENTER.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions carefully to properly install the scanner software.
6. After the scanner setup software is installed, restart the computer.
Note:
Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Xerox Pagis SE ARE ONLY SUPPORTED in Windows 95 or Windows NT. Use Action Manager for interfacing with the scanner and your scanner software in a Windows 3.X environment.
