Aptiva - Pink border around video clips

Applicable to: United States

Symptom:
Customer is playing video clips (Mpeg or otherwise) on his Aptiva
- normally from Start, Programs, Accessories, Multimedia, Media Player, Device = Video for Windows or IBM Aptiva SoftMPEG

When the clip plays (fullscreen or windowed), there is a pink line on edge(s) of the video clip.

Problem also occurs on some of the preloaded Aptiva MPEG software :
- Silent Steel
- To the Moon - Flight of the Dream Team

Problem Isolation Aid:
None

Fix:
In Folder c:\Windows, you will find a program called : TOVL9680.EXE Run this, and start the video. Use the slider bars to align the image (this is self-explanatory when you try it), until the image is aligned. Click OK in the alignment program, and close down the video image. When you restart the image, it will be properly aligned.
