TP 380,385 - Cooling fan and battery gauge information
Applicable to: World-Wide
Cooling Fan:
The ThinkPad 380/385 has a cooling fan that is thermostatically controlled. During normal operation the fan will cycle on and
off. This whirling sound is similar to the sound the Hard Drive produces. Fan noise coming from the area of the fan duct at the rear of the system is normal.
Battery Gauge:
The ThinkPad 380/385 battery fuel gauge displays readings of 100%, 80%, 10% and 0% during discharge. While charging the fuel gauge will read 80%, and will change to 100% once charging is complete.
