TP 701 - Dock II adapter option fails at installation

SYMPTOM:
A small number of Dock II Adapter Kits option part number 04H6196 have been found to fail at installation. The symptom is the Dock II power Icon comes on for about five seconds and then goes off.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad 701 installed in a Dock II.
SOLUTION:
The system will not power up when connected to the Dock II, but will power up and operate correctly on battery or its own AC adapter. The condition is solid and occurs during power up after installation. Replace the Dock II Adapter Kit with FRU P/N04H8353. Options currently being manufactured have been corrected.
