Question:
How can I use my ThinkPad 750 with external Monitor and Keyboard when the machine cover is closed?
Answer:
Normally, when the cover is closed, the machine will go into suspend mode, thus turning off the power for external Keyboard and Monitor. You can disable the ThinkPad suspend mode feature (when the cover is closed) by using a DOS command:
PS2 C D
with PS2 is the utilities program comes with 750. The parameter C stands for Cover and D stand for Disable.
use
PS2 C E
to Enable the suspend.
