Cordless Mouse - Various Problems and Solutions

Product Information
The Cordless Mouse uses advanced radio technology that frees you from the cord of a standard mouse for use with Microsoft Windows NT. Simply place the receiver that comes with the option in a convenient location on your desk. Keep the mouse in range (within six feet) of the receiver and your mouse sends a signal to the receiver.

Problems, Causes, and Solutions.
Problem:
The mouse does not work.
Cause1:
Receiver is not correctly connected to your computer.
Solution:
Reconnect receiver cable connector to the PC mouse port.
Cause2:
Batteries may not be properly installed or weak.
Solution:
Check the batteries in the mouse by pressing the channel button until either the mouse programming light or receiver activity light blinks. If neither blinks, move the mouse ball to see if the receiver activity light blinks. If the light still does not blink, re-install or change the batteries.
Cause3:
Receiver is not locked to the mouse.
Solution:
Reset the mouse and receiver. Move the receiver switch from the one-mouse icon to the two-mouse icon and then back to the one-mouse icon. Start communication between the receiver and mouse by pressing the channel button on the mouse until the receiver activity light blinks.

Problem:
Receives an error or warning message indicating interference from another cordless mouse or radio device using the same channel.
Cause:
Another device is using the same channel.
Solution:
Change the channel of the receiver.

Problem:
Cursor does not move when the mouse is moved and the receiver light does not blink.
Cause1:
Batteries may be weak.
Solution:
Replace batteries.
Cause2:
Mouse and receiver are not set to the same channel.
Solution:
Change the channel of the receiver.

Problem:
Cursor does not move when the mouse is moved even though the receiver light blinks.
Cause:
Receiver does not recognize the mouse.
Solution:
Reboot the computer. Reconnect the receiver. Move the receiver switch from the one-mouse icon to the two-mouse icon and then back to the one-mouse icon. Move the mouse for more than two seconds for recognition by the receiver.

Problem:
Cursor moves when the mouse is not in use.
Cause:
The receiver is receiving signals from another cordless mouse in the area or the receiver switch is set to the two-mouse icon.
Solution:
Reboot the computer. Reconnect the receiver. Move the receiver switch from the one-mouse icon to the two-mouse icon and then back to the one-mouse icon. If the problem reoccurs, change the channel.

Problem:
Cursor skips or moves abnormally.
Solution:
Clean the ball of the mouse.
