Aptiva - 2176 Flash BIOS update instructions (Australia only)
Applicable to: Australia
To download the file, read the following:
1. Click on file icon.
2. Pick OK to copy file to your local disk.
3. Save as file name, "COUFLASH.EXE" and select drive "C". Choose OK. This will download the file to your hard disk.
4. At a DOS or OS/2 prompt type "COUFLASH". This command will explode the file from the hard drive to a floppy disk. Follow the prompts and insert a floppy disk into drive A.
BEFORE YOU START
Before you Start
Have your computer turned off. If you are currently in Windows 95, use the correct shut down procedure through the Start menu.
Instructions
Insert the diskette into the floppy disk drive (A:) whilst your computer is off.
Press the on/off button on your computer to restart the system. The disk is self extracting and will start loading as soon as the PC is restarted.
You will be prompted to enter the country - type 18 for Australia.
You will then be asked if you wish to update the computer's serial and model numbers - Press N for NO to both of these questions.
Note: Please ensure that the serial and model numbers displayed match the serial and model numbers on the case of your computer.
The program will ask you to wait for the new information to be loaded. Remove the diskette when prompted to do so and restart the computer.
