Cross Brand - Windows 95 Logo Certification & Compatibility

Service Information:
The Hardware Compatibility List contains a list of PC systems and peripherals that are compatible with the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system. Microsoft makes the list available via several online services.
Overview of Process:
Certification (Logo) - Meets "Designed for Windows 95" requirements.
Process - Logo Certification is accomplished by providing the Microsoft Compatibility Lab (MCL) the system to be certified along with SCT results. (IBM CDT SST runs the test to obtain the SCT results.) Microsoft will test and certify. If the system passes, Microsoft will include it on the Windows 95 Hardware Compatibility List as a "Logo" system.
Compatibility - Passes Microsoft Software Compatibility Tests for Windows 95 (but does not meet all of the "Designed for Windows 95" requirements.)
Process - Compatibility is accomplished by IBM running the SCTs and providing the test results to Microsoft for review. (IBM CDT SST runs the test to obtain the SCT results). If the system passes, Microsoft will include it on the Windows 95 Hardware Compatibility List as a "Compatible" system.
