Network Station - OS/390 IBM Network Station support
Applicable to: World-Wide
This document is an overview of how OS/390 IBM Network Station R2.5+ level code is shipped. Another item will detail the upcoming (third quarter 98') packaging of OS/390 IBM Network Station R3 code.
OS/390 Version 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 2.4
The IBM Network Station software support for OS/390 Version 1 (all releases) and Version 2 Release 4 was shipped as part of the eNetwork Communication Server (TCP/IP Services). It was shipped as two TCP/IP FMIDs and one of four separately orderable browsers:
JTCP32G (Client code, latest PTF is UQ14974) |
JTCP32N (NSM or Network Station Manager code, latest PTF is UQ12365) |
Browser options (128-bit browsers are for North America only; 40-bit browsers are for WorldWide use): 5648-B10 IBM Navio NC Navigator Browser (40-bit encryption), latest PTFs: UQ16681 and UQ16683 |
OS/390 Version 2.5
For OS/390 Version 2 Release 5, IBM Network Station support is no longer shipped by eNetwork Communications Server. Instead, it is delivered as a PRPQ and one of the above selected browsers. The PRPQ has the latest IBM Network Station R2.5+ level of support discussed above. Again, IBM Network Station support for OS/390 2.5 is delivered via:
PRPQ 5799-E05 (Client and NSM code) |
One of the above browsers |
