Considerations for OS/2

• Some motion picture files (MOV, AVI, MPG, etc.) may cause screen noise during playback.
• The following PC Cards are supported in OS/2:
• Token Ring
• Ethernet
• Modem
• IBM 3270
• IBM 5250 in the Port Replicator with the Advanced EtherJet Feature (for the PII 233 and 266 models only)
• IBM 5250 in the PCMCIA slots on the ThinkPad (for the P 233 MMX model only)
• OS/2 Power Management features are limited. When using the suspend/resume feature all applications must be closed, or you can disable the suspend/resume feature by following the steps outlined below:
• Start OS/2.
• Double-click on the "System Setup" icon on the Desktop.
• Double-click on the "Power".
• Click in the upper left corner of the window and select "Properties".
• At the "Power Management" group in the "Power" tab, select "Power Management disabled".
• Hibernation is not supported in OS/2.
• When using the DHCP mode of the ThinkPad Port Replicator with Advanced EtherJet Feature, PC Cards may be identified as a memory card and does not function. A fix is provided at http://www.pc.ibm.com/support.
