Aptiva - 2140/2142 Considerations - Internet Conference

INSPRO causes a GPF in USER.EXE closing Internet Conference.

Detail:
Deleting your name from the Internet Conference Professional preferences leads to a general protection fault caused by
INSPRO in USER.EXE.
Steps to Recreate:
1. Start/Programs/Aptiva Internet Suite/Internet Conference Professional.
2. Setup ICP.
3. Click Options from the menu bar, then select Preferences.
4. Delete your name.
5. Close the preferences window by clicking the 'x'.
6. Click ok at the 'Please enter you name' message.
7. Close Internet Conference Professional by clicking the 'x'.The following gpf occurrs: "INSPRO caused a general protection fault in module USER.EXE at 0004:000017de"

Answer / Workaround:
This is a limitation of the application. It will be addressed in the next release of Internet Conference, no known workaournds.

Clear all layers doesn't work properly in browser mode.

Detail:
To ReCreate: Launch "Internet Conference", and go into browser mode on the whiteboard. Draw on the screen with the pen, then draw on the screen with highlighter. From the Menu bar select ->edit ->clear all layers (or just hit <CTRL A> keys). This should clear ALL layers, instead it is only clearing the last utility drawn on the screen.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a known problem with the Internet Conference application and will be addressed in the next release. No known workarounds.

Documentation errors within Internet Conference.

Detail:
There are a few documentation errors -- typographical error, help topic inaccessible, information window not launched -- within Internet Conference.

Steps to Recreate:
1. Start/Programs/Aptiva Internet Suite/Internet Conference Professional.
2. Enter info to setup ICP.
3. Click Option from the menu bar and select Preferences.
4. Delete your name and click ok (a. Typographical error. "Please enter you name. ok/help", 'You' should be spelled 'your'.) and (b. Click help, "Windows Help The topic does not exist. Contact your application vendor for an updated help file (129). ok") and (c. Click ok. Close the
preferences window by clicking the 'x'. The message reappears, but there is no information window to enter your name. This leads to the gpf described in PTR 72097.)

Answer / Workaround:
Entering your name when prompted solves most of this, but the help topic is still inaccessible. This will be addressed in the next release.
