ISDN-S0 Active 2000 Adapter - Using as a modem

Applicable to: World-Wide

The IBM ISDN-S0 Active 2000 adapter is NOT a modem adapter. Therefore you will not find any initialization string for it.

But if you need to have a good terminal emulator for the adapter or you need TCP/IP connections via ISDN you can either use ZOC for OS/2 or ZOC for Windows 95 or NT. Current versions of ZOC can be obtained from ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu or http://hobbes.nmsu.edu.

There are several good fossil drivers available for DOS, Win and OS/2 that let you run your modem software unchanged via Active 2000. ISDNPM a PM-Program that establish TCP/IP connections via ISDN under OS/2 via CAPI 1.1 DLL. It supports X.75, X.75_SLIP, PPP, HDLC, HDLCUI, CISCO-HDLC and M-LApB protocols. Examples are CFO, CFOS, or ISDNCOM. They can be downloaded from various popular mailboxes or servers. Note: CFos can be obtained from http://www.cfos.com.

If you can't find the above mentioned software in the web you can try to find it on various home pages such as http://www.shareware.com or http://www.filez.com.

Please honor the shareware conception and register your copies.
