Description:
New Line DVD Titles fail to play after a certain sequence.
Models affected:
All with DVD
How to duplicate:
1. Open DVD Express and play a DVD.
2. Stop the DVD and minimize the video window.
3. Press "play" on the GUI.
4. You will notice that the movie will either play through the trailer and stop, or just not play. The GUI indicates play.
Root cause:
This is a problem with the DirectX Media 6 overlay mixer. It fails if minimized during a restricted section of video.
Workaround:
Restore the video window to fullscreen or normal window before playing the DVD.
