Aptiva - Errors when running DIAG1.COM in the DIAGS directory

Applicable to: United States

Symptom: There is a program in the DIAGS directory called DIAG1.COM. Try to avoid running this file. Running may cause the boot manager partition to be changed to PRIMARY, with no option to make it startable. On reboot the computer will give a "feed me" screen and the BIOS will not show a hard drive as being installed. Running the file DIAG1.COM may also result in lockups.

Solution: If you have run this file, the corrective action is a simple two button mouse reset. To do this, hold down both mouse buttons and reboot the system.
