Problem:
Device manager incorrectly shows 17" E Series monitor (2127-001) monitor as either "Plug n Play Monitor" or "IBM 6E27 Monitor"
Problem Description:
In Display Properties for monitor type, the computer will refer to the IBM 17" monitor (2127-001) as either the "IBM 6E27 Monitor" or simply "Plug n Play Monitor". Although this will not effect normal operation under Windows 95, the monitor is shipped with a Monitor installation diskette to install the proper monitor description and configuration settings.
Resolution / Workaround:
To change the setting to reflect the correct monitor and configuration settings, use the monitor installation diskette which shipped with the monitor. This diskette will install and update the appropriate .INF files and .ICM files to allow optimum operation.
