Aptiva - 2144/2168 How do I install third party software on my Aptiva?

If you have just bought a new software package, use the following steps to install it:
NOTE! This procedure is not for Cxx model machines. Please use the Aptiva Installer to install and remove applications!
1. Click on 'Start'.
2. Click on 'Settings'.
3. Click on 'Control Panel'.
4. Double-click on 'Add/Remove Programs' icons.
5. Click on 'Install'.
6. Put the first diskette or CD of the software package into the floppy or
CD-ROM drive and click on 'Next'.
7. Now just continue to follow the prompts on the screen.
NOTE! Make sure that you remove any previously used CD's or disks from the drives before starting this procedure, or Windows may try to reinstall them!
If this procedure fails, either read the programs documentation for installation instructions or all the programs
manufacturer for further assistance.
