Aptiva - How to determine if the setup utility recognizes the ZIP Drive
Applicable to: United States
1. When you first turn on your system, you will see an IBM Aptiva logo. Press [F1] to enter the IBM SurePath Setup Utility.
2. The System Information section of the Setup Utility should be highlighted. Press [Enter] to select it.
3. The System Information screen has a list of hardware settings. You will see the following listing for ZIP drives:
Removable Disk Drive #
The number can range from two to four. The screen will also show the size as 100 megabytes.
4. Press [Esc] and select Yes, exit the Setup Utility. Press [Enter] to leave the Setup Utility and restart the computer.
