Aptiva - 2140/2142/2159/2162 Considerations - Loud feedback if MIC volume is set above halfway
Applicable to: World-Wide
Description:
If you move the volume control for MIC in Audiostation or Windows 95 mixer above halfway, AND you currently have the MIC un-muted on both the record and playback sides (Kareoke mode), you will get VERY loud feedback from the speakers.
Workaround:
By default the MIC volume on the playback side is muted. If you Un-Mute this setting, you must keep the volume control lowered. This is a limitation of the hardware due to the close proximity of the speakers and mic.
