Aptiva - The ZIP drive model C6Z shipped with Rapid Resume Disabled
Applicable to: United States
The ZIP drive models C6Z are shipped with Rapid Resume DISABLED. You can enable Rapid Resume, however "auto power off" will not function properly unless BIOS checking is DISABLED on port 2. This can be done by entering BIOS Setup and selecting Input/Output Ports.
When BIOS checking is DISABLED, activity on the CD-ROM and ZIP drives will not be detected. This could result in a SUSPEND by the "auto power off" function while using the drives, i.e. copying data to the zip drive or while using the diagnostics or recovery CD. "90 minutes" is recommended in this case to help prevent a suspend from occurring while BIOS checking is disabled.
