540MB Hard Drives - 540/528 patch fails (EMEA Only)

Service Information:
The "540to528" patch that changes the capacity of a 540Mb hardfile to 528Mb, for applications that cannot access hardfiles greater than 1024 cylinders, does not work on 540Mb IBM brand hardfiles, FRU P/N 82G5928 (DALA-3540 can be ordered as an Option. For a single drive the Option P/N is 06H7141 and for a bulk pack of 20 it is 06H7142) and FRU P/N 06H6110. The IBM brand hardfile, which can be identified by the following markings on the drive label, has a jumper on the file control card that is moved to convert the drive from 540Mb to 528Mb:

For the DALA-3540 drive, J1 is Primary, J2 is Secondary, J3 is CSEL, J4 is Spare, J5 is write cache enabled when open, J6 is auto reallocation enabled when open, and J7 is capacity select where drive capacity is 540MB when closed and 528MB when open.

For the DPEA-30540 drive, J1 is Primary, J2 is Secondary, J3 is CSEL, J4 is Reserved, J5 is write cache enabled when open, J6 is auto reallocation enabled when open, and J7 is capacity select where drive capacity is 540MB when closed and 528MB when open.
The following error is received when the "540to528" is run on the IBM brand drive P/N 82G5928:
'Drive 0 is IBM-DALA-3540, fail:reading page config 13'.
'Hard disk 1: this HDD is not Satsuma'.
The following error is received when the "540to528" is run on the IBM brand drive P/N06H6110:
"Drive 0 is IBM-DPEA-30540, fail:reading page config 13."
"Hard disk 1: this HDD is not Satsuma".
