Aptiva - Getting sound in Windows 95 for America Online events

On some Windows 95 pre-loaded systems, America Online events have no sound.
SOLUTION:
The cause of the problem is that the America Online events are not entered into the Windows 95 Registry. There is a simple way to add the events to the Registry.
1.) From the Start menu choose RUN.
2.) type SYSEDIT and click OK.
3.) Click on the WIN.INI file.
4.) Near the bottom of the file you will see a section labeled SOUND. It should be located between the Prodigy and WAOL sections.
5.) Change the label of this section to SOUNDS and save the file.
6.) Exit the System Editor and Shut Down Windows.
The next time you boot your system, the America Online sound events will be added to the Registry.
