GENERAL OVERVIEW
The ThinkPad i Series 1720 is IBM's most affordable ThinkPad notebook with an Intel(R) Mobile Pentium(R) II 266 MHz processor. Its integrated all-in-one design provides quick and easy access to CD-ROM, hard disk drive, diskette drive, and 56K modem. Advanced function includes the UltraBay FX with an optional second hard drive and second battery.

The ThinkPad i Series 1720 features a powerful Intel Mobile Pentium II processor at 266 MHz(1) with 512 K L2 cache plus:

• 13.3-inch (measured diagonally) XGA TFT bright, extra large display
• 64 MB SDRAM memory, expandable to 256 MB
• 24x-10x variable-speed CD-ROM(3)
• 56 K modem(4)
• Long-life Li-Ion battery

3. Variable read rate. Actual playback speed will vary and is often less than the maximum possible.
4. The modem is designed to receive data up to 56 Kbps from a compatible service provider and transmit data up to 31.2 Kbps. Public networks currently limit maximum download speeds to about 53 Kbps. Actual speeds depend on many factors and are often less than the maximum possible.
