MM55 and MM75 Monitors - No On Screen Display; Corruption of OSD; Scratchy or no sound; Sound only in one speaker

Applicable to: World-Wide

No OSD/corruption of OSD:
If there is corruption of the On Screen Display (OSD) (for example little black squares appear around/over the OSD), or the OSD is not being displayed there are 2 possible resolutions:

1. Unplug the purple speaker cable from the back of the monitor, turn the monitor off, replug the purple speaker cable firmly, turn the monitor back on.

2. Unplug the purple speaker cable, shut the machine down, and turn off the monitor. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the monitor back on first, then the tower. The monitor will show the IBM screen, then starting Windows 95, then it will show the Windows 95 splash screen. When the Windows 95 desktop appears, replug the purple speaker cable back in firmly.

Scratchy or No sound / Sound only in one speaker:
Normal procedures for issues with sound should be checked first. Then Try option 1 above.
If this doesnĘt resolve the issue, then remove all sound drivers, check that the display adapter and monitor are set correctly in display properties, then follow option 2.
