Description: ThinkPad 765/760 20X-8X IDE CD-ROM Drive.
The correct FRU P/N for the ThinkPad 765/760 20X-8X IDE CD-ROM Drive is 02K0490. The PCC 97-398 announcement letter was released using FRU P/N 02K0493. The ThinkPad HMM will have the correct FRU P/N listed for this option. In addition, an epic will be released to correct the announcement letter.
If a warranty claim is made against FRU P/N 02K0493, the claim will not be rejected, and FRU PN 02K0490 will be used. If an IBM Business Partner, servicer, or customer requests the FRU P/N for the 765/760 20X-8X IDE CD-ROM Drive, use FRU P/N 02K0490.
