Aptiva - How to install / uninstall TripMaker SE
Applicable to: United States
To install TripMaker onto your Aptiva:
1. From Windows 95 Start Menu, click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Insert the Trip Maker 1996 SE CD into the CD-ROM drive label side up and wait for the drive light to go on and then off.
3. Click on the "find install program" button if application was not installed previously or if installed previously, select "show uninstalled programs" tab.
4. Click on the TripMaker 1996 SE icon to highlight it, and then click on install
5. At the welcome dialog box click on continue
6. At the type of CD-ROM installation dialog box, faster execution should be pre-selected if so, click on OK.
7. At the Installation Path dialog box, it should already have a path of C:\TRPMAKER, please click OK to continue
8. At the next dialog box, Directory Doesn't Exist, click on yes for setup to create the directory
9. At the Last Chance to Exit dialog box, it will ask you if you want to proceed. Please click on Continue to proceed with the installation
10. At the Installing icons to Program Manager dialog box, click on select all, and then click on OK
11. Next a View Release notes dialog box will appear, click on yes to view the readme file
12. To exit the readme file, click on file and then exit. Now you can run the program by double clicking on the Trip Maker 1996 SE icon. After reading the License Agreement, click on OK and the program will continue. You can now start planning your next vacation.
To uninstall TripMaker 1996 SE from your Aptiva:
1. From Windows 95 Start Menu, click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Click on show installed programs
3. Highlight the TripMaker icon by clicking on it once and then click on uninstall
4. At the TripMaker SE uninstaller dialog box, click on OK
5. Another dialog box will ask you to proceed with the uninstall procedure. Click yes to continue
6. When it has been removed, a dialog box will state that Rand McNally has been successfully uninstalled. Click yes and you are done.
